We work with a number of industrial collaborators and most notably Thales Underwater Systems and Dyson. Both of these companies are funding projects with the waves group at Manchester and also elsewhere in the School and University. Some further details of these can be found under grants.
Thales SMART Hub
In addition to these specific projects Thales have also recently funded a three year Structural Materials and Acoustics Research and Technology (SMART) Hub aimed at bringing the research carried out at Manchester and the end application much closer together. This has been very successful enabling the recent appointment of Dr Raphael Assier as Lecturer in Industrial Mathematics. Further details of this hub as well as outcomes will be outlined in a new page on the new WICC website shortly.
